[...] There are no modern records for the east coast between Yorkshire and Aberdeenshire, the Scottish population now being completely isolated. This species is, however, not infrequently encountered as an immigrant to the south-east coast and as it is well distributed in southern Scandanavia, it could also have occurred in that capacity here. Whatever its possible status as a migrant, it is fairly certain that the species has not been resident [...] since records commenced, and there are still no records for Durham.
