Northern Drab
Orthosia opima
Species account (old)
[...] In Durham it is very local, and quite scarce in the two sites where it is known. These are on Waldridge Fell, where it occurs sparingly when the weather is suitable, and in Upper Teesdale from Great Wood to Middleton-in-Teesdale. There have been no further records from the east of the county since Robson found it there in small numbers. D. A. Sheppard failed to find it in Castle Eden Dene during his detailed investigations there in the 1970's.
